Amicorp: Financial specialists with community spirit

Considering the annual revenue, in 1999 about 6 million dollars and this year about 48 millions, financial service provider Amicorp Group can say that for years already they are experiencing a sold growth. Also the number of employees is a good indicator of the soundness of this company that is established in the eye-catching building in Parera. The company has branches in 28 countries. Amicorp employed in 1999 53 full time equivalents (FTE) and has now in 2008 460.

The growth in Curacao was interpreted in the idea of opening a daycare center for the children of the employees; the well-equipped ‘Tuma mi Man’ at Pareraweg 45 with Marisol Rodriguez as director.

As a tangible expression of community spirit, Amicorp reserves 25 places in this daycare center for underprivileged children in the neighborhood. The parents and raisers of these children do not have to pay the center for daycare service, but they are compelled to attend certain activities. They do this to avoid that what these children are taught at the daycare center, is not followed at home. These parents and raisers of the children will also receive further guidance in cooperation with local government bodies.

The official opening of the daycare center is October 16 when Amicorp celebrates her sixteenth year on the island.
