Police work towards regulating bill of sale of second hand cars

PHILIPSBURG--Police in collaboration with several entities on both sides of the island are attempting to regulate the bill of sale for second hand vehicles come May 1. In a press conference on Monday, Police explained the reasons for the policy change and said that they have the support of St. Maarten Insurance Association.

Rekenkamer mag UTS niet binnen

WILLEMSTAD — De Algemene Rekenkamer van Curaçao (ARC) is niet bevoegd om een onderzoek bij overheidsbedrijf UTS uit te voeren. Dat heeft de rechter vanmorgen geoordeeld. De rechter heeft de ARC verboden om het aangekondigde onderzoek voort te zetten.

ORANJESTAD — Vakbond FTA en de potentiële koper van het Aura casino zijn nog steeds in onderhandeling. Twee voorstellen liggen inmiddels op tafel, maar een overeenkomst lijkt nog ver weg. De voorstellen wijken te veel van elkaar af als het gaat om een overname met alle lusten en lasten zoals de wet voorschrijft.

Hundreds turnout to bid Officer Boasman farewell
