Aruba refinery to start hiring staff in April to repair plant

ORANJESTAD - The refinery in Aruba plans to start hiring workers in April to repair and upgrade the 235,000-barrel-per-day plant, while its proposed new operator, Citgo Petroleum, continues talks with the government to sign a contract to lease the idled facility, sources close to the deal told Reuters.

PDVSA to receive U.S. crude cargo from PetroChina

WILLEMSTAD - Venezuela's state-oil firm PDVSA has bought a 500,000-barrel cargo of U.S. crude from trading company PetroChina for delivery April 1-10 at its terminal in the Caribbean island of Curacao, traders told Reuters on Monday.

WILLEMSTAD — De Algemene Rekenkamer van Curaçao (ARC) is niet bevoegd om een onderzoek bij overheidsbedrijf UTS uit te voeren. Dat heeft de rechter vanmorgen geoordeeld. De rechter heeft de ARC verboden om het aangekondigde onderzoek voort te zetten.

ORANJESTAD — Vakbond FTA en de potentiële koper van het Aura casino zijn nog steeds in onderhandeling. Twee voorstellen liggen inmiddels op tafel, maar een overeenkomst lijkt nog ver weg. De voorstellen wijken te veel van elkaar af als het gaat om een overname met alle lusten en lasten zoals de wet voorschrijft.

Buncamper-case suspects maintain their innocence
