The Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary in The Hague also known as the St. Maarten House.

St. Maarten, the smallest autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, exists since October 10, 2010, the day that St. Maarten obtained its Status Aparte.

The Minister Plenipotentiary is the official representative of the St. Maarten Government in the Netherlands and forms part of the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The St. Maarten House opened its doors on the 1st of January, 2011 and the office was officially opened by the Prime Minister of St. Maarten, Mrs. Sarah Wescot-Williams, on the 16th of March, 2011.

The Cabinet looks after the interest of St. Maarten in the Netherlands and serves also the interests of St. Martiners living in the Netherlands. The St. Maarten House tries to maintain good relations with all Caribbean organizations in Holland, in particular those organizations that deal with St. Martiners living in the Netherlands.

Furthermore the Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary participates in various consultation meetings regarding the European Union and other international and multinational organizations in Europe.

The Minister Plenipotentiary of country St. Maarten in The Hague, Mr. Mathias S. Voges, is the representative of the St. Maarten Government in the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The Council of Ministers of the Kingdom consists of the Ministers Plenipotentiary of the autonomous countries Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten and the Ministers of the Dutch government. Meetings of said Council of Ministers are convened every month or whenever it is necessary.

During the absence of the Minister Plenipotentiary his tasks are taken over by the deputy Minister Plenipotentiary Mr. Richard Panneflek.
