Detention of rape suspect extended by Judge

PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten - A rape suspect is now behind bars after he was arrested last week during an attempted chain snatching case at Le Grand Marche.

 
The suspects were arrested in the parking lot of the business establishment.
 
Chief Prosecutor Hans Mos confirmed that the rape suspect was heard in court and the Judge extended his detention based on the evidence presented.
 
The victim of this rape is a minor.
 
The investigation is still ongoing the Prosecutor noted.
