Parman with summary proceedings against the CBCS

WILLEMSTAD/PHILIPSBURG – On January 10th 2019, the summary proceedings that the shareholder of ENNIA, Parman International B.V. ("Parman") has filed against the Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten ("CBCS"), took place.
With this interlocutory procedure Parman tries to undo the emergency ruling, previously issued by the Court on ENNIA.
The CBCS has defended and motivated its actions, and also refuted Parman's statement that the emergency regulations would not serve a purpose.
The court will render its verdict no later than January 31st 2019.

International banks file formal complaint at Central Bank against closure local bank accounts

WILLEMSTAD – In a letter to the Interim President of the Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Maarten, Mrs. Leila Matroos-Lasten, the Association of International Bankers in Curaçao (IBA) files a formal complaint against the closing of local bank accounts of their IBA Members.
