Weapons, phones, marijuana confiscated in prison search Sint Maarten

PHILIPSBURG--Self-made weapons, phones and a quantity of marijuana were confiscated during a search of three cells in one section of the Pointe Blanche prison on Tuesday.
 
Prison Director Edward Rohan confirmed that the search had been conducted on Tuesday by police officers and some prison guards. The Prosecutor’s Office also was present during the search.
 
Rohan said he had received a call that a search would be conducted at the facility and the search was executed and items were confiscated from the search.
