Man shot dead at home in Sucker Garden

SUCKER GARDEN—Patricio Tomas was shot in cold blood on Monday evening close to 7:20pm at his home.
 
Three shots were heard by neighbours and screams echoed from Tomas’s home from his wife and son. The family lives behind the Rainbow Grocery in Sucker Garden in one of the emergency homes there.
 
Police arrived on the scene and took control of the situation after neighbours and family members tried to revive the lifeless body of the well known businessman. The Daily Herald understands that Tomas was the owner of Patricio Scrap Metal and was also known as “Barba”.
 
Police Spokesman Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson said, ”the man was found in his kitchen on the floor with bullet wounds and Police are doing everything possible to hear witnesses and try to solve the crime as soon as possible.”
 
Bystanders believe that a man came from the back of the home and shot Tomas and fled the scene in a vehicle. But this could not be confirmed by Police.
