Top Fund Lawyer Sabine Altena strenghtens Curacao Fund Team Spigthoff

Sabine Altena joined Spigthoff and started working in the Curacao office as of March 2008. She is part of Spigthoff’s fund & regulatory team. This team further consists of Maike Bergervoet and Karel Frielink.

Sabine obtained a law degree at the University of Groningen in 1997. She subsequently started working at the Amsterdam office of the law firm: De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, as a junior civil law notary (’kandidaat notaris‘). During her ten years with De Brauw she worked in the fields of corporate law, banking and finance law.

Sabine specialized in advising investment funds and other financial institutions on the structuring, formation, taxation and regulation of investment structures.

Sabine’s characteristics may be summarized as: straight forward, urban flair and result focussed.

Celebration 75th Anniversary Consulaire Corps CuraƧao

WILLEMSTAD - On the 22nd of April 1944, during World War II, the Consulaire Corps Curaçao was born. The 75th anniversary of the Corps was celebrated with a reception on 23 May 2019. The Governor of Curaçao, the Prime Minister, members of the Corps and many other dignitaries were present.
