GroenLinks wants decision on not acknowledging gay marriages annulled

The Dutch opposition party Groenlinks is of the opinion that according to the procedures of the Charter, the Council of Minister for the Royal Dutch Kingdom must propose the annulment of the Antillean decision not to acknowledge gay marriages.

Groenlinks is shocked by ‘the consistent refusal of the Neth.Antilles to acknowledge gay marriages’.  “The Antillean minister of Public Health and Social Developments, Omayra Leeflang (PAR) is wring in saying that it is about an ‘internal matter’ of the Antilles self and that the question is how far the Antillean autonomy reached.”

Groenlinks says that with this action, the undesired signal is given that homosexual-emancipation is apparently irrelevant’.  “That is in violation of the in national and international rules of law acknowledged principle of equality.”
Groenlinks-parliament member Ineke van Gent has asked questions about this to the ministers of General Affairs, OCW, and state secretary of Homeland Affairs and Kingdom Relations.

Do these members of government agree with the fact that legal acknowledgement of the gay marriage results from the legal pact and constitutional acknowledgement of the principle of equality?  Other than annulment of the Antillean decision, Groenlinks also wants to know what other measures the government is going to take, to in close cooperation with the Neth.Antilles and Aruba, stimulate the homo-emancipation in the entire Kingdom.
