Spigt comes with new initiative

Lawyer Leo Spigt (Spigthoff) has introduced a new initiative on the Dutch market for legal services. Under the name Legal Legion he and two partners started a new firm that aims at legal work that is under the level of a standard law firm. Work that at this moment is being done by standard law firms or through outsourcing of lawyers, but that might as well be done by less qualified lawyers.

Spigt, who will be the supervisory director of the new firm, says that in these times of economic recession there is a growing need with customers for example to let the legal bulk be done at a lower rate.

Dealing with legal issues can be very time-consuming and expensive for organizations and companies. They have to consider the costs of legal advisers and lawyers as well as the administrative handling of legal matters. Legal Legion says to be able to optimize the legal business processing in order to achieve a maximum result against the lowest possible costs. The company takes responsibility for the handling of legal matters or advises on the internal business process.

Legal Legion claims to be unique. Like law firms it is a legal service provider, but apart from the fact that it has experienced lawyers, it also has the right know-how for business processing. Therefore, it is capable of setting up legal organizations that work in such a way that they are time-saving and cost-reducing.

The services of Legal Legion comprise of one, or a combination of the following activities:

- Outsourcing - handling of all legal issues at the level of the in-house counsel. Legal Legion has a streamlined organization that is responsible for the first-hand legal support of your organization.

- Incident control - project solutions in case of incidents or peaks in the workload.

- Consultancy - streamlining of business processing. Legal Legion advises how to structure the organization in order to increase the efficiency of the legal business processing within the organization.
