Workshop “Self-evaluation of directors and board members; building good governance”

“Governance@work” is the brand name of VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne and The Galan Group N.V. for their activities with respect to promoting good governance in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba. Frank Kunneman of VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne lectured in a workshop on Friday 18 September 2009 in the Hilton Hotel in Curacao about “Self-evaluation of directors and board members; building good governance”.

More than thirty Board members and Supervisory Directors of different companies and foundations in Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire attended the workshop. Frank Kunneman: “It is always a great pleasure and a privilege to discuss with professionals about their challenges and how they can improve their own work and the governance in their organization. There is a lot of talent and wisdom in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba.”

Because of the overwhelming demand, the workshop will be repeated in October and will be followed by three other workshops with different subjects: New legislation on good governance in the Netherlands Antilles and the different island territories; Finding a right balance between responsibility skills and remuneration of Board members; and “Tool box” for the Board.
