Age Bakker reappointed as CFT Chairman

THE HAGUE--Professor Age Bakker has been re-appointed effective December 1 as Chairman of the Committee for Financial Supervision CFT for Curaçao and St. Maarten upon proposal of the Kingdom Council of Ministers.
 
Bakker was also re-appointed as CFT Chairman for St. Eustatius and Saba. The re-appointment took place by Royal Decree on November 27.
He will serve a three-year term as chairman of both boards.
 
Reappointment takes place upon proposal of the Chairman of the Kingdom Council of Ministers, with the consent of Curaçao and St. Maarten. The Council of Ministers of the Netherlands is responsible for the re-appointment as Chairman of the Board of financial supervision Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba.

THE HAGUE--Attorney-at-law Roeland Zwanikken at St. Maarten’s BZSE law office is considering legal action against the intention of the Dutch ABN AMRO Bank to close the bank accounts of its clients in the Dutch Caribbean.
