HBN Law St. Maarten welcomes new attorney Charles Rutte

PHILIPSBURG - Law firm HBN Law welcomes Charles Rutte as a senior associate at its St. Maarten offfice.
 
Born and raised in the Netherlands, Rutte obtained his Master’s degree in International and European Law at the end of 2002. Afterwards he moved to Málaga, Spain to study Spanish. Back in the Netherlands, he started his career as an attorney at law in 2003 and worked at Van Diepen van der Kroef attorneys for over ten years.
 
Charles built and managed a general (corporate) practice with a strong emphasis in the fields of intellectual property law and contract law. During his time in the Netherlands, he also was a (Board) member of various professional and social networks and has published several articles on intellectual property law.
 
Charles Rutte litigates and advises his (international) clients on a wide array of matters, from breach of contract claims to complex trademark infringement disputes. In addition, he is an experienced negotiator and has drafted many types of contracts.
With Charles Rutte the total number of attorneys in St. Maarten comes to six.
