Venezuelan assets at risk by lawsuit filed by Cuban MDs

Venezuela's assets abroad could be frozen if the Federal Court in Miami pronounces an unfavorable judgment against Cuba, Venezuela and the state-run oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa) for alleged conspiracy to force doctors and workers of the health mission called Barrio Adentro to work in conditions of "modern slaves."

High Court quashes Loor's money-laundering conviction

Rights of pledge on shares in a Netherlands Antilles company vis a vis rights of shareholder

On 24 December 2009 the Court of First Instance in Curacao rendered a summary judgment, whereby the issue was the appointment of a new managing director of a Netherlands Antilles company (the "Company") by a bank (the "Bank") as pledgee with voting rights on the shares in that Company.
