Former Aruban telecom official gets U.S. prison term for laundering bribes

MIAMI/ORANJESTAD - A former official of an Aruban state-owned telecommunications provider was sentenced on Wednesday to three years in prison after admitting he participated in a scheme to launder bribe money he was paid in exchange for rewarding lucrative contracts.

No authority for Saba as yet to grant work permits

THE HAGUE/SABA--Dutch State Secretary of Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops sent a letter to the Dutch Parliament on Tuesday about the work-permits procedure and the reduction of bureaucracy in Saba that seemed in direct contradiction to the Saba government’s endeavours to assume responsibility for granting work permits.

Curacao refinery seeks temporary operator to replace Venezuela's PDVSA
