Judge to present rulings in Vesuvius case November 15

BELAIR - -Despite a two-million dollar investigation and a case file of more than 10,000 pages that resulted in the Prosecutor's Office requesting life sentences for the two main suspects and sentences of eight to eleven years for the other five persons suspected of involvement with murder and manslaughter, membership in a criminal organisation and firearms, the suspects all maintained their innocence during the sixth day of hearings in the Vesuvius case at the Belair Community Centre on Friday.

Curacao wants PDVSA to invest $1.5 bln in Isla refinery

WILLEMSTAD - Curacao could extend or renegotiate a lease of its Isla refinery to Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA if the latter agrees to invest $1.5 billion to upgrade the World War One-era facility, the Caribbean island's top politician Helmin Wiels said on Wednesday, according to Reuters.

BELAIR -- The Prosecutor's Office is considering them the leader and his second in command in a criminal organisation involved with murder, drugs, rip deals, car theft and weapons, but their attorneys stated Tuesday A.O.W.J. (35) and C.A.R. (30) were innocent and unfoundedly charged, and should be fully acquitted.
