WILLEMSTAD - The DCSX last week welcomed a new listing on the exchange. Listing Adviser Global Listing and Exchange Services N.V. (GLEX), an Amicorp entity, dedicated to list companies on the DCSX, succeeded in listing Inmaran B.V., a Dutch BV company.
Kabinet Curaçao definitief gevallen

WILLEMSTAD - Premier Gerrit Schotte gaat vandaag het ontslag van zijn kabinet indienen. Dat kondigde hij aan in de nacht van donderdag op vrijdag, na afloop van de vergadering van de partijraad van zijn Movemento Futuro Korsou (MFK).

In de onderhandelingen over het Gemeenschappelijk Octrooigerecht (‘Unified Patent Court’) en het Europees octrooi met eenheidswerking (‘European patent with unitary effect’) is in de Europese Raad een belangrijke doorbraak bereikt. Daags na de doorbraak heeft echter het Europees Parlement de behandeling van de octrooiverordening gestaakt.

WILLEMSTAD — In 2011 was 75,8 procent van de bevolking in Curaçao geboren; In 2001 was dit nog 80,5 procent. Ook het aandeel personen dat op één van de andere eilanden van de voormalige Nederlandse Antillen en Aruba is geboren is afgenomen van 3,5 procent in 2001 naar 2,9 procent in 2011.

Cleopa (MAN) continues as independent parliamentarian

WILLEMSTAD - De Raad van Ministers (RvM) heeft woensdag een brief ontvangen van gouverneur Frits Goedgedrag. In de brief legt Goedgedrag uit hoe hij de aanwijzing opvat en wat zijn positie hierin is. De RvM betreurt dat er een andere invulling is gegeven aan de brief door er naar te refereren als curatele of verhoogd toezicht.
